Hey friends, God is good!! It was an exciting April for us. I know it's not
quite over yet, but I only have 1 more concert for the month so I just
thought I would fill you in. We had some great services this month. I got to
sing at several new places as well as some that have me back just about
every year. I did 5 concerts Easter week and even though I was a little worn
out after the weekend, I was also excited about how God had been working.
I would also like to ask for your prayers about a situation regarding
Brittany. Many of you know about her accident 5 years ago. For those of you
that don't know, Brittany was hung by a portable basketball hoop and
actually passed away. We don't know how long she was hanging there, but God
still works miracles and He worked one in her life that day. Even though she
survived, the resulting hospital stay along with the portable trauma unit to
transfer her to Childrens Hospital in Akron, cost us over $20,000. We are
attempting to recoup that money from the company that designed the hoop. (It
has since been recalled and taken from the market due to several such
incidents) We are going to Federal Court tomorrow morning, April 27 at 10:00
so please be in prayer for us, especially Sheila as she still has emotional
issues with the situation.
Speaking of Sheila, she will be the key note speaker for a Ladies
Retreat/Mother Daughter banquet in May. This is for Grace Baptist Church in
Brunswick. They told us that when the people found out that it was Sheila
speaking, it was sold out right away. They are trying to move it to a larger
location. Sheila has never done anything like this and she is SCARED TO
DEATH!!! Please pray for her and I'll let you know how it goes.
